Mission Statement

It is the goal of BM Geological Services to offer geological solutions to the minerals industry in the Eastern Goldfields, nationally and globally by providing a high level of profesional input into all projects in which we are involved. Workplace health and safety, environment and community relations are prime considerations in the way we conduct ourselves in business and are integral to our client's requirements.

BMGS understands that its people are our primary asset and that their output is a reflection on the performance of the company. Providing challenging roles and offering extensive training and development are keys to our securing the right personnel and improving the skills base upon which our delivered product is measured.

Fitness at Work

BM Geological Services provides a work environment in which employees can perform their duties in a safe and productive manner. This fitness for work policy includes all employees and contractors. Any person suffering the effects of alcohol or illegally using drugs is not permitted to work on BM Geological Services projects.

All employees are responsible for ensuring that they:

  • Arrive at work in a fit physical and mental state, free of the effects of any inhibiting factors including emotional trauma or illness that could affect safe work performance.
  • Disclose any external factors which may have the ability to inhibit judgment during work
  • Avoid activities outside of work hours that could have carry over effects to the next work shift
  • Conform to Client specific random alcohol or drug testing programs

Counselling will be offered to an employee who fails a drug or alcohol test, and disciplinary action will be taken if a person fails repeat tests or refuses professional assistance.

Health, Safety & Environment

BM Geological Services considers the safety and health of its employees to be of the utmost importance. BMGS aims to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, which promotes productive and harmonious working relationships. BMGS believes that all employees have a shared responsibility to promote health and safety at work and are responsible for complying with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and standards.

BMGS Health, Safety and Environmental commitments are to:

  • Comply with site and Client specific Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Be aware and respect for the environment in all mining and exploration activities
  • Give each employee the appropriate training and resources to complete all tasks in a safe manner

  • Keep employees at the top of their field through training and development to ensure Industry best practices are maintained

BM Geological Services believes that if it has involvement in projects adjacent to towns then it has an obligation to that local community. Offices will remain local to all projects thereby encouraging the use of local businesses wherever possible.
